Business Central is an all-in-one business management solution that provides financial, supply chain, sales, service and project management. It is a cloud-based solution designed specifically for small to medium sized businesses.

Dynamics 365 Business Central pricing is based on a per user per month ongoing cost.

As part of this, you get all hosting and cloud benefits. This means you can access the system from any device, in any location with an internet connection. Moreover, it integrates with Office 365, the range of Dynamics 365 apps and Power BI. As a result, you can work more efficiently and productively.

Finally, all automatic updates and features are included in the price so you know you will always be on the latest version.

So how does Dynamics 365 Business Central pricing work?

You can purchase Business Central on two levels; Essentials and Premium. We explain both below.

Dynamics 365 Business Central Pricing

Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials: The cost is £52.80 per user per month.

The Essentials package covers almost everything available in Business Central. This includes:

  1. Financial Management
  2. Project Management
  3. Operations Management
  4. Supply Chain Management
  5. Sales and Service Management
  6. Reporting and Analytics

Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium: The cost is £75.40 per user per month.

The Premium package covers everything within Essentials, as well as added functionality for manufacturing and service order management.

Importantly, it is worth nothing that customers cannot mix and match Essentials and Premium users. That is to say, they must purchase either Essentials or Premium licenses but not both.

Pricing Guide - Full versus Additional Users

In addition to the packages above, Dynamics 365 Business Central pricing classifies users into two types, “full users” and “additional users”.

There is however the option to have additional users. These are charged a Team Member rate, as explained below.

Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members: The cost is from £6 per user per month.

Team members are add-on licenses for users who need limited access to the system. It allows them to:

  1. Read anything within Dynamics 365 Business Central
  2. Update existing data and entries
  3. Approve or reject tasks in all workflows assigned to a user
  4. Run all reports
  5. Have access to the employee self-service
  6. Use PowerApps for Dynamics 365
